Through DiaKit, our mission is to provide diabetes education to empower people to make better decisions about their health and reduce the number of amputations caused by diabetes. It's a cause that is important to us, and we're dedicated to making a difference in our community. Recently, we had the opportunity to meet with two Shakopee High School Boards to discuss our mission and how we can best impact our community. We were able to share our vision with the board, and how we plan to reduce amputations with DiaKit.

We plan to provide educational resources and tools to our community, to help people better understand diabetes, and how to manage it. It is critical to give people the tools they need to make healthy lifestyle changes and reduce their risk of amputations. We will be offering free diabetes education workshops next week, and providing many more resources to help people make better decisions about their health.

What Educational Resources Should We Focus On?

  • Healthy Eating/Physical Fitness Resources?

  • Tools and Support for Complications?

  • Diabetes Hotlines and Support Groups

  • Built-in-services and Videos

By providing educational resources, we can all make a difference

in our community and reduce the number of amputations caused by diabetes. We are excited to start making an impact and look forward to helping our community make healthier decisions.
